Teams and workspaces

WhoseDev supports personal workspaces and organization workspaces for teams. Organizations add member management, invites, and workspace-level AI budget controls on top of individual accounts.

A project folder is the files on disk. A WhoseDev workspace is the signed-in account or organization context that owns models, quota, and policy.

When you sign in, WhoseDev associates your account with one or more workspaces. A workspace determines:

  • Which managed models and entitlements apply
  • Whether usage draws from a personal quota or an organization AI budget
  • Which Ask / Plan / Act modes the subscription allows for WhoseDev Cloud
  • Policy that admins can set for members

Open WhoseDev AI Settings or the account menu to see which workspace context applies, remaining usage, and which models are available. Switching workspace refreshes usage remaining for that workspace.

Organization owners and admins can:

  • Create and manage an organization
  • Invite members and assign roles
  • Configure workspace AI budget, alerts, and usage policies
  • Review usage reports for the workspace

Member management and invites are handled through the WhoseDev web account experience after you sign in.

Organization workspaces expose AI budget APIs for administrators:

  • Set budget limits and policies for managed AI usage
  • Configure alerts when usage approaches thresholds
  • Review usage reports and handle increase requests from members

Budget controls apply to WhoseDev Cloud usage billed against the workspace. They do not change how BYOK or local routes bill your provider or machine.
